FAQs

What is acupuncture?

Acupuncture is a key component of Chinese Medicine that involves the insertion of ultra-fine needles into specific points on the body. These points activate the body’s natural healing response, helping to restore balance, regulate the nervous system, and improve overall wellbeing.

Does acupuncture HURT?

Most people are surprised by how gentle acupuncture feels. The needles are incredibly thin— less than the width of a strand of human hair—and while you may feel a slight pinch or sensation upon insertion, treatments are generally restorative. Many patients are so relaxed they fall asleep during sessions.

what can acupuncture help with?

Acupuncture can support a wide range of issues, including but not limited to:

  • Chronic pain (neck, back, joints)

  • Chronic degenerative diseases

  • Auto-immune conditions

  • Anxiety, stress, and sleep disturbances

  • Digestive discomfort and bloating

  • Hormonal imbalance and menstrual irregularities

  • Headaches and migraines

  • Fatigue or burnout

  • Fertility and postpartum support, perimenopause and menopause

  • Skin health and aging concerns

If you’re unsure if acupuncture is right for you, we’re happy to chat and guide you.

HOW MANY TREATMENTS WILL I NEED?

Healing is not one-size-fits-all. Some patients feel relief after just one session, while others benefit from a series of treatments over time. We’ll work with you to develop a personalized plan that aligns with your goals, lifestyle, and where you are in your healing journey.

WHAT SHOULD I DO BEFORE AND AFTER MY APPOINTMENT?

Before your session, eat a light meal and stay hydrated. Wear comfortable loose clothing and arrive a few minutes early to ground yourself. After treatment, listen to your body—rest if needed, stay hydrated, and avoid intense exercise or alcohol immediately afterward to allow the treatment to settle.

IS ACUPUNCTURE SAFE?

Yes. Acupuncture is a safe, evidence-based practice when performed by a licensed practitioner. We use sterile, single-use needles and follow strict hygiene protocols. All Everwell practitioners are highly trained, licensed, and deeply committed to your wellbeing.

do you accept insurance?

We are currently a cash only provider. However, we’re happy to provide a superbill (itemized receipt) that you can submit to your insurance for potential reimbursement. We also accept FSA and HSA payments.
