As the days begin to lengthen, we are reminded that while the sun draws us back out into the world, the heaviness of winter’s cold and damp can linger in the body. This is a powerful time to begin integrating fermented foods into our diet to help support digestion and gently reignite our digestive fire.
Join us on January 10th from 12–2pm for a hands-on fermented food–making workshop. We’ll explore the ancestral roots of fermentation, why humans have fermented foods for centuries, and how these living processes support gut and immune health. We’ll also reflect on how mindful food preparation deepens our connection to nourishment as both food and medicine.
Guided by Alexa Robinson, herbalist and land steward, this workshop will cover different types of fermentation, their health benefits, and how to safely prepare and store ferments using tools you already have at home. You’ll also learn how to incorporate beneficial ingredients to enhance flavor, vitality, and preservation.
